This black and grey beauty was the beloved senior of our pack. Dr. Miranda rescued her in 2011 after finding her rummaging through a neighbor’s trashcan. She was nothing but skin and bones—hence the name Skinnie Minnie—and it was clear she had endured a difficult past, likely used for breeding and as bait before being discarded.

Despite her rough beginnings, she blossomed into the sweetest soul and gave nothing but love to everyone she met. On August 23, 2024, Skinnie Minnie crossed the rainbow bridge. She is deeply missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The wise elder of our pack, Sincere has fully embraced the slower pace of life. His favorite pastime is napping outdoors in the sun—ideally right next to his mama. When he’s not sunbathing, he’s likely keeping his parents on their toes by sneaking into the garbage in search of a “forbidden snack.”

Toward the end of last year, we received the difficult news that Sincere has cancer. For now, our focus is on keeping him as happy, comfortable, and loved as possible—until the time comes for him to reunite with his sister, Skinnie Minnie.

He came into Dr. Miranda’s world at just 11 weeks old, when his previous owner reached out for help with his noticeable head tilt. After just a few chiropractic adjustments, Stix was able to see the world straight on for the very first time.
